If you’re reading this article, chances are you’re familiar with the board game Monopoly. In this game, you try to buy up as many properties as you can and develop them to accumulate the most wealth possible. While you shouldn’t take financial advice from a board game, the truth is that you can learn a lot about real estate from Monopoly.
For example, take a look at where I am in the video above. I’m at a beautiful beachfront property I recently purchased in Puget Sound that I plan on developing. This unique property will be highly desirable and will attract the most demand possible. I also plan on implementing a unique rental strategy that will give families and other people tons of options on how they want to stay in my vacation property.
By my estimation, a unique and desirable property in this location will be worth $5 million within five or 10 years, but I only put down $1.2 million. While the rewards might not be immediate, just like in Monopoly, they will be great.
